Branded merchandise helps to build meaningful connections with our customers and creates opportunities for spontaneous experiences of our brand, so we want to ensure that we choose and distribute high-quality and thoughtful designs.
The following guidelines will help you source merchandise that is memorable for the right reasons. Reach out to BDA, our exclusive preferred vendor, for assistance designing and fulfilling your branded merchandise order. Or, for off-the-shelf options, visit the Autodesk Shop.
Planning your orderCopy link to clipboard
As you think about what you’re going to order or create, ask yourself the following questions:
What: What’s the impact or impression you want to make? What’s your budget? How many do you need?
Who: Who’s the audience? What will they appreciate and use?
When: When do you need your materials produced or delivered? Do you need them delivered in advance of an event?
Where: Where are they being produced and delivered? Have you confirmed your recipient’s shipping address? Have you planned for longer shipping times and higher shipping fees for international recipients?
How: Are your items as sustainable as possible? Are they recyclable (or better yet compostable), and from diverse suppliers with fair working practices?

DOs. Here are some best practices to keep in mind when considering branded merchandise.
- DO browse the Autodesk Shop for ready-made, on-brand merchandise options.
- DO work with our approved supplier, BDA, for any custom merchandise needs.
- DO consider your audience and what sort of items will make the most impact and best tell the Autodesk story.
- DO allow enough time for manufacturing and shipping of your items. Keep in mind shipping time and costs for international orders.
- DO choose sustainable options for materials. Consider recyclable or compostable options. Choose items that are likely to be kept rather than disposed of immediately.
DO NOTs. Here are important things to avoid when considering merchandise.
- DO NOT design your own items. Use our trusted supplier, BDA.
- DO NOT send designs to Brand for approval. Work with BDA.
- DO NOT try to manipulate logos or lockups on your own.
- DO NOT order more items than needed or choose items that are likely to be thrown away immediately.
- DO NOT put years on items. Doing so increases the likelihood of them being disposed of.
- DO NOT produce items related to alcohol, gambling, or any other activities that do not align with Autodesk’s values.
